About Our Chapter

The Washington Alpha chapter was founded on January 5th, 1907. We have grown immensely since the day we began, and have made many contributions to the University of Washington. Our chapter is proud to have donated the bell in Denny Hall that is rung each year on graduation day. We are located on 17th Avenue, right down the street from the famous "W" that marks the entrance to the UW campus! Members of the chapter describe our house as their true home away from home, and a once in a lifetime opportunity to live in a house that holds over 80 truly unique women. The house is three stories tall, with a formal room, dining room, kitchen, two living rooms, two lounges, a laundry room, study room, courtyard, and a private sun porch!
